thank God, twice over.
for results, and for healing of pain indescribable.
oh, and mummy support.
(which, usually comes along with Nags Unlimited, but it's in the package and you know that she means well.......and then you realise that support from your parents can be the most priceless thing around.)
there's something about putting God into perspective, this knowledge that He is in control of all things. and then you stop worrying about stupid things, like whether or not to check results at the stroke of 12 because you are the No.1 Escapist. (note: the system crashed, so col(No.2 Escapist) and i happily went to sleep. but we DID check our results in the end, mind you.) i need to work harder to strip my Kancheong Titu title. though if you must know, i only titu over small things. when calamity strikes i'm usually calm as...a paperclip. (what. have you ever seen a paperclip panic?? of course not. )
the pastor asked the congregation last week: "where does Jesus live?"
in my mind i had this 'heaven' imagery.
he said: "heaven? that's too far! Listen, He lives in your heart."
and i jolt, as if someone had just told me the earth was round when i thought it was shaped like a Destiny-cut diamond. and then a flashback to the countless times when i was told that 'Jesus lives in you". truth that i had taken but never digested.
it was a realisation and a reassurance. a consolation. and a great relief.
because that means--
He knows everything: your pain, your worries, your desires.
when you smile, when you cry, when you're staring blankly at the wall because you don't know what to do.
He knows, and He loves.
and He has plans for you. Plans for you to live life to the fullest, for His glory, fighting not for victory but with victory--because God owns every battle we face in life.
Nothing is impossible for Him.
i dunno about you, but i think that's cool.
